Moths, Dancing & a Bee Sting

Gracie got a couple cute catapillars from a recent birhtday party and one of them has turned into a beautiful Moth!  We let it escape in our backyard!

 Ben accidentally/not knowingly gave himself a yellow jacket sting.  He saw the yellow jacket in his water table and touched it.  It stung his left hand pointer finger.  He didn't want anyone to touch it or for us to try to help it.  The swelling went down before bedtime.  Poor guy!

Izzy the Bear

Gracie's school has a visiting bear named Izzy, we were so excited to see Izzy in her cubby to have a sleeporver at our home!

 Izzy and Gracie had a mini snooze on our way to dinner for pizza and salad!  Gracie stopped her nap time at school and has been falling asleep on the way home from school!

 We gave Izzy Gracie's sunglassess from when she was a baby.  They fit Izzy perfectly and they will be a perfect addition from sunny California to her overnight bag!

Dance Recital at School!

It was such a joy to watch Gracie in her dance class, she just loved it!  So proud!

Catapillar!

 The other weekend we went to one of Gracie's preschool friends birthday parties!  The birthday party was StarWars Themed!  We dressed Gracie a little bit like Princess Leah!  The kids spotted a ton of caterpillars in the oak trees.  We all took some home.  One of our caterpillars recently hatched and it looked like a little moth.  We are waiting for the second one to arrive!

 Gracie has started swim lessons again and this past Tuesday she went under water 2 times, a huge accomplishment for a girl who hates to have her hair and face wet!

 On Mothers Day we headed to the park near our home.  You can see by Gracie's and Ben's face how much fun they had!

Happy Mothers Day!

I had such a great Mother's Day.  Jim and the kids let me sleep in.  Mr. Ben woke me up with a smile and request to watch Sesame Street in bed and snuggle.  Gracie shortly joined us and Jim brought us all breakfast in bed.  Gracie made me a card, birthday crown, Jim had both the kids make me a card and brought me flowers.  We then headed to the park and just played!  Later in the day Grammy and Sir came over and then Mary, Chris and baby Kate.  The guys made an amazing lunch and dinner and did the clean up!  It was nice relaxing and so fun to hang out with everyone!
